Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time; the need for mankind to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Mankind must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love.
Martin Luther King Jr., December 11, 1964
US black civil rights leader & clergyman (1929 – 1968)

The National Student Walkout to Prayer is a non-violent answer to the moral, economic, and political collapse of our nation. If there is going to be change it is going to start on the campuses. The failures of our nation are not in the halls of the senate or congress, they are not in the White house or the supreme court, but rather the failure of our nation lies in the hearts of the men and women who have forsaken God, thinking that we could do it in our own strength. There must be a resistance and the followers of Christ are left with no greater weapon than that of prayer and petition.

This time America is not fighting against slavery of the African, but the slavery of all people in spirit, soul, and mind. Leaving the multitudes without love. As the book of Collosians so appropriately states, “Let no one take you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophies which rely on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ” Col 2:8

We are asking all of those who participate to take a Pledge of Non-violence:
Here is the pledge of nonviolence written by Martin Luther King Jr., and signed by his marchers, 1963

1. As you prepare to march meditate on the life and teachings of Jesus

2. Remember the nonviolent movement seeks justice and reconciliation – not victory.

3. Walk and talk in the manner of love; for God is love.

4. Pray daily to be used by God that all men and women might be free.

5. Sacrifice personal wishes that all might be free.

6. Observe with friend and foes the ordinary rules of courtesy.

7. Perform regular service for others and the world.

8. Refrain from violence of fist, tongue and heart.

9. Strive to be in good spiritual and bodily health.

10. Follow the directions of the movement leaders and of the captains on demonstrations.

Eddy, I like what I see! I have begun to pray for the Lord’s direction.

It is time for a “Call to Arms” Prayer and Action!

This is by far the dumbest invocation of MLK in Christian Civilization.

GIve me a break, the Prez is going to address youngsters and just because there is a chance here to get a mention on Fox and Friends you exploit the issue.

Of **ALL** the issues affecting our schools (and by extension our future economy) this ranks very, very, very, very low.

What a joke and a distraction
