The Student Walkout to Prayer is all about prayer. Imagine 1,000,000 students uniting on campuses across the nation as one voice in prayer to change America. Imagine uniting with friends and those you never even knew were Christians and asking God to bring a spiritual awakening to your campus. We are gathering to pray—for the schools, our friends, our teachers, our government, and the nation.
On April 30th 2009 at 11am we did a preliminary walk out on many campuses around the Nation, including but not exclusive to Hawaii University, Cal State Long Beach, University of California San Diego, University of California Riverside, Point Loma University and more. (If you would like to include your school in this list please respond below or e-mail us and connect with us) Then in the Fall on October 30th, thousands if not millions will leave their classrooms to gather in their quads, fields, auditoriums, fraternities/sororities, or dorms and call on God for the greatest revival this nation has ever seen. If that doesn’t work for your school, choose a time that will work for your school, but let everyone at your school know!
This nation’s education system was founded and flourished on the teachings of the scriptures in the Bible. All of the first Universities were founded as theological seminaries, The American university was founded as an explicitly religious institution. Through the influence of the Enlightenment and subsequent European philosophical influences, religious presuppositions were over time replaced by secularist ones.
Revolution is in the air. The nations of the earth are charged with social unrest, those who follow Christ are those who hold the only key to saving our nation.
Christians are not the ones rebelling; the Universities and America are the ones that have rebelled against the laws of God. Like Daniel in the midst of Babylon, and like Christ in the middle of the religious of Israel, and the Political might of Rome, it is time to stand in front of the plague and declare you can go no further. It is time to unite to hold back the tide of Secular Humanism and Moral Relativism, with the love and truth of Christ in the face of all opposition.
This is an appeal to heaven for a spiritual outpouring as we stand in spiritual defiance to the Anti-Christ environment that is robbing 70-80 percent of Christians going into college. These students are not loosing their faith because of open-mindedness, free thought, reason, or critical thinking, but rather opposite. They are being brainwashed by biased and twisted opinions and agendas. This is an appeal to God in prayer and the schools in a act of civil disobedience. Ask for a outpouring of God’s spirit, and remind the nation to return to their first Love. (God)
Remember the hippies in the 60’s the abandoned the ivy leagues of America for a lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, they even coined the term ‘Berkley Rebellion’. However what was a rebellion 40 years ago, has unfortunately become a normal way of life for a majority of Americans today. In their leaving the societal norms a revolution was started that changed the spiritual, political, and educational environment of America ever since. With their rebellion they took subsequently took with them their student loans and tuitions, and forced the universities to conform and appease to their every whim or risk being left behind by the tide of liberalism, environmentalism, and sexual chaos. Due to the hippie movement the universities were forced to conform to the culture or risk closing their doors, the entire nation was held hostage by the eastern mysticism, drug use, and illicit sex of the 60’s.
Imagine a million Christians saying, “Enough is enough today, we demand change.” It isn’t about anger but about a love for God and a jealousy for his people. We are not appealing on the premise of political activism but rather spiritual prophets who hold to the Word of God
